Our Junior camogie players travelled to Creagh College on Thursday 15th November for a blitz. Gorey Community School provided the first opposition of the day. Against the wind in the first half we went 2-1 down, until Megan Browne hit the back of the net. This was only the start of a magnificent display from Megan, going on to score 3-1 from play and winning the match by 2 goals. Emma Quirke gave an excellent defensive display with Isabelle Kisov and Michaela Milling striking up a great partnership in midfield.

We then played Coláiste Bríde again we started against the wind, but this did not stop our girls from leading from the off with Megan again getting on the score card and Millie Cassidy also leading up front. Therese Lawless showed strength battling hard for every ball and Grainne Dempsey putting in a brilliant shift. Evelyn Saulite produced the goal of the game, from 30 yards out she pulled on the ball and it flew in the bottom corner of the net. Rose McCarthy put in an outstanding display all day in goal and saved some great shots while Fiona Bergin, Áine Whitty and Niamh Crowe were solid from the back.

The girls then faced Bridgetown in their final game. Again, the girls put in a great effort, coming out winning by 2 points, with outstanding display again from Rose in goal and Maria Whelan, Charlie Reid up front and Shona Proctor Laird in defence.
Congratulations girls and to Ms Nolan and Mr. Sinnott.
