On Thursday January 12th a group of second year JCSP students visited the BT Young Scientist Exhibition.

Now in its 48th year the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition is much more than a competition; it is an unforgettable experience of a lifetime for the students who take part. The exhibition itself is the final stage in the competition which is open to all second level students from Ireland, both North and South. As well as the 520 student projects on display, there are a further four exhibition halls filled with science and technology based exhibits and entertainment, making it a thrilling for those who visit.

The students that visited had a very enjoyable days looking and talking about the various projects. They also attended some of the various shows that were on that day, like Robot Wars and the Cosmos. The students were very impressed by the Intel Robot that was programmed to solve a Rubix cube using colour recognition technology.
