Over the past few weeks in LCA we have been on work experience. We started our work experience on the 23rd of February and finished on the 6th of March. Over the 2 weeks I went to a community Playschool in Arklow. The reason I went there was because I enjoy childcare and it was recommended by a family member.  I enquired about it and thankfully got the work experience placement.  While in Arklow I was staying with a family member.

While I was working I was doing a lot of things like playing with the children and helping them make their lunches.  In the playschool the children would get their lunch in the Playschool because it is a community Playschool for families with financial difficulties which is great for such a big town.  After doing the work experience in a Playschool I have really thought about doing a course in Childcare after I finish school.  I will have to do a PLC course before I go to college.  In the course I will do a Level 5 and a Level 6 course in Early Childhood care & Education. I learnt that childcare is something I really want and should do because in 3 periods of work experience I went to Playschools and in them 3 times I have got outstanding reports.

A few others in my class members went to primary schools.  Some of them went to garages and some went to Cafés. Now that LCA is coming to an end attendance will be vital for marks and getting assignments done are crucial for marks.  So over all work experience went great and hopefully the rest of the year goes well for us all as well.
