A wide range of activities were organised for the big night. There was face painting, refreshments, games and Christmas carols supplied by our students. Our school gym was transformed into a winter wonderland with Christmas lights, a Christmas tree, stars and a giant Santa which added to the festive spirit. Josh Lawlor, Jack White, Jake Nobbs, Shane Cahill, Jayden Hibbert-Bown and James Lawless acted as our elves and Mr. O’ Connor was our Santa for the night. There was a great atmosphere in the market as many of the parents and extended family, along with members of the local community packed the hall.
Each individual stall was very well presented. The TY stall proved very popular as it nearly sold out. There was a large variety of Christmas themed produce on sale. From little boards with the inscriptions “Family”, “Let it snow”, “Noel” and “Santa Stop Here”, to larger Christmas themed woodwork in different shapes and designs such as Christmas trees, stars and Santa signs and framed paper cut art.
It is thanks to the huge effort made by both teachers and students that made this night such a great success.
