Our current committee is: Ronán Crosbie (chairperson), Eilis Teal (Secretary), Margaret Redmond (Treasurer), Mary Smith, Ger Murphy, Jacyntha Colton, Margaret O Connor, Evelyn Quinn, Stella Goff, Linda Cleary, Margaret Gray, Mary Atkins, Carolanne Crosbie, Ursula Doyle, Mary Mordaunt, Siobhan O Leary and Maria Lane.The parents representatives to the Board of Management continue to be Mary Smith and Ger Murphy.
This year we’ve had two meetings. We’ve discussed fundraising and agreed to pay for the jerseys for some of the various sports that the students are taking part in… Basketball and Rugby included.We produce a newsletter to let the school community know what is happening both in the school and also in the PA. As part of the fundraising the committee is endeavoring to set up a monthly draw which will use the Lotto numbers to draw the winning tickets. If anyone is interested in taking part, do please let Miss Martin know.
We are also planning on a day when everyone brings in a bag of recycling (clothes, soft toys, shoes etc) to raise funds.It is hoped to have another coffee morning in March …. more details will follow.
A number of the parents from the committee helped out at school events… namely, the Open night in October, and some will also help on enrolment night at the end of the month.
We would welcome any input you may have. Indeed, if anyone would like to come along to any of our meetings you are more than welcome.
