Safer Internet Day 2013 is an EU wide initiative to promote a safer Internet for all users, especially young people, and will be celebrated in Ireland on Tuesday 5th February 2013.
This year, Safer Internet Day, which is promoted in Ireland by the PDST Technology in Education and Webwise.ie, is urging all net users to “Connect with Respect”.

To mark this year’s event, a new campaign will be launched to encourage young people to intervene positively in instances of online bullying.

A new website, www.WatchYourSpace.ie, will be launched and will include tips, help, advice and support to bystanders who want to show their solidarity with victims of cyberbullying.
It’s up to us. We can stand up to cyberbullying. Get involved. Show your support.
